| Combatting Misinformation and Global Nation’s False Narratives Through Education | 16 October 2024 |
About the Book
This book aims to achieve several key objectives that contribute to the ongoing scholarly and practical efforts to address misinformation and disinformation in contemporary society. The primary goal of the book is to emphasize the crucial role that education plays in combating misinformation and false narratives. While much of the existing research focuses on the technological, social, and political dimensions of misinformation, this book uniquely centers on educational strategies as a proactive and sustainable solution. By doing so, it underscores the importance of equipping individuals with the critical thinking skills and media literacy necessary to discern credible information from falsehoods.
This book is scheduled to be published by IGI Global (formerly Idea Group Inc.), an international academic publisher of the “Information Science Reference” (formerly Idea Group Reference), “Medical Information Science Reference,” “Business Science Reference,” and “Engineering Science Reference” imprints.
